I was discussing this with my adult kids recently... how even the time from the beginning of school until Halloween seemed to just drag as a kid. Now - poof! Another year is nearly gone.

@Boonie, Hendrix possessed pure, raw talent. I guess I might be a fan. ;)

@Joe, life goes on... ob la di, ob la da, eh? ;) You're so right.

@Joco, I do embrace a more minimalist style of haiku. It seems to me to epitomize the very nature of the genre. I recently read a list of something like 60+ 'rules' for writing haiku. Ha! :)

@SG, autumn is too short, in my opinion. Can we tweak the seasons just a bit?

@Rebecca, how strange - I tried repeatedly to leave a comment on your blog, as well, to no avail. Hmm. I also had to pile on another blanket a couple of nights ago. Frost on the pumpkins, soon...

@Bill, wow, do I ever relate. Winter is soooo long and soooo exhausting. I drag through each day, listless and dreaming of being a lizard basking on a rock in the desert. I'm glad you're going to come along on the year-long art journey. I debated about whether to commit, too, but it's just time for me.

Noelle, Tami, Marilyn, thank you for your kind comments and to each of you for visiting. I truly appreciate it.

Peace.
~Debpaper-n-soulhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17003641513663962692noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2241656806550205907.post-1677601056770965352010-09-19T11:27:29.007-04:002010-09-19T11:27:29.007-04:00This is so beautiful. Winter can be beautiful, but I get too depressed if we have too many days that are dark and gray.

I'm going to try the year long project, too, but I didn't join up. I'm going to try the "arting without a commitment." I have a travel chest I grabbed out of a neighbor's garbage and have been saving. I'm already seeing the depression setting in, though, from the darker days here, and haven't been able to get myself motivated to pull it out and start decorating it. Hopefully I'll be able to give myself a kick in the butt and get moving.Billhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01797214493308780866noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2241656806550205907.post-29718518052495630542010-09-18T11:03:55.751-04:002010-09-18T11:03:55.751-04:00good morning deb,
