Clear, turquoise skies and warm breezes have blessed our little corner these past few days. Temperatures have been closer to the norm for this time of year, after erratically jumping up and down the thermometer for a couple of weeks. Summer has to have her last hurrah and I am more than happy to oblige her.
There will be frost on the pumpkins in the blink of an eye, so I'm enjoying these balmy days with windows wide open - an invitation to those gracefully twirling wind sprites.

ReplyDeleteIt is a beautiful cloud-sprinkled blue piece of summer in the midst of fall and your haiku is just lovely. Thank you Deb! I was trying to publish your comment and I accidentally hit delete. If you have the time and energy, would you send it again? If not, no worries. Have a great day!

Both in the Haiku and your prose.
And those clouds are the most cotton-woolly I have ever noticed.

ReplyDeleteWell Deb, I was blessed by your haiku and pretty picture. Already had our first frost two nites ago here in Ukraine. All houseplants now inside. Still putting the garden to bed for the winter tho.

Thank you so much, to each of you, for your gracious comments. The skies are still bluer than blue, here - just gorgeous. Warm, sunny days, crisp nights. Perfect fall weather.
ReplyDeleteHope you are all enjoying the same. Here we're planning a 3-yr-old's Halloween costume and a trip to the apple orchard very soon.
Autumnal blessings~
